    110 (3)

My grandson and dil Jenny at dinner yesterday.

After the four year old' s t-ball  game my son and his family took us out to eat.

I told Jenny to stand by the window with the baby Reid cause the light was perfect.

  • Pie safe

    024

The fellow across the hall at the antique mall from us sometimes makes his own furniture.

This is a shelf with a screen window so I guess it's a pie safe.

  • Brush with a young fireman

    041

Once my sister Joni who lives in Scottsdale, Az. said that at 3am a strong arm was knocking on her condo door and he said, "come out."

Well, she thought she was dreaming to have a young fireman at her door. He helped her as she carried one of her two dogs down the stairs to the parking lot.

She was alright and so were her things but it was more of a precaution.

  • Remember Necco wafers?

    015

My brother and sisters would use the candy to copy the adults in our church and line up for communion.

My brother asked if I remembered him playing the priest?

I said, "yes, do you remember Johnny how I would ask for the chocolate ones?"

He said, "yes, you were the picky one weren't you?"

  • I drove in my boot

    001018004020

It's six weeks now and Dr. Adams said that I can drive but not to tail end anyone.

My sister and I at the mall on Tuesday. Mo worked for me and I helped her.

What are you going to do now that we have no words to write about? Not that I ever wrote a poem but it got me talking.

  • Patience is our last word

    066

We had buddy cards in a paper sack. It's what you need to work on this year.

We can't read them or get another but the card picks us.

I got HALT that stands for ,"don't get too hungry ,angry, lonely, or tired."

Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas on Lake Texoma is where we stayed.

  • Diva or conceit?

    091

Being a Diva is about having a high self-esteem.

I walked into my friend's hotel room with my coffee cup and said, "good morning, ladies."

One of the gal's,  said, "Jill, you know the coffee maker in your hotel room works like ours."

There was a pause in the conversation and with all eyes on me; I said,

"me, make my own coffee? Dave brings me my coffee in the morning or at least the last five weeks."

They all laughed and I did, too.

  • Dog Hair and growth

Just got back from my girl's weekend road trip to Lake Texoma.

I had to brush off the dog hairs from my navy overnight bag before I packed.

Emotional growth comes from laughing and crying with old friends and new.

  • Oil Changes

    IMG_3050IMG_3051IMG_3053

In the fall I won a free oil change at the library when they had a raffle for a bunch of door prizes at the book sale and chili dinner to raise money for our local library.
