    IMG_0565IMG_0566 IMG_0564

My husband pulled into the garage and opened his door ;she jumped into his lap."

Evey time I went in my car he said,:"did you see a little spotted puppy dead on the side of the road?"

She ran for three days.  I finally said," you can go get her." He named this one Lilly.

This was 4 years ago now.

  • So much beauty in the world

    IMG_2759-983x1024

No Xanga 2.0 hasn't messed up again but this is a photo I took from Frank's site. I need something beautiful to post to undo the ugly evil things that happened yesterday at our countries' capital.

"Seeing God in old familiar places'  is the title of my reading this morning.

Frank is it ok that I used your photo of your trip to Hawaii?  I knew it would be.

  • These boots are made for...

    IMG_0536IMG_0537

These boots are made for walking. Do you remember the song by Frank's daughter Nancy back the 70's?

The little iron form next to it is for jewelry that I can always use in my antique mall.

The pink boots size 6 will also go in my booth with Halloween coming up.

  • 3rd home is a charm

    IMG_0530

Our lab Kathie came to us back in 2006 one and half years old.

We had her for two weeks before we left her alone at home; we came home to a shredded dog bed. She was sitting in the middle of the fluff with an anxious look on her face.

Now she will wait for us and that only happened the one time.

  • Antique Alley

    IMG_0498

Soon it will be time for Antique Alley which is an 11 miles of stuff to buy along the roadside like a continual garage sale.

It's on a state highway so it can be dangerous cause most of the people don't pull all the way off the pavement and just stop in the middle of the road.

They need to respect the highway.

  • Outside our police station

    IMG_0474IMG_0473

This is outside our police station in our town. My hubby asked what it was for and I said,"who knows."

What do they have against Clint Eastwood? or you might remember him as Rowdy from Wagon Train.

  • Roll out the barrels

    IMG_0448

Most of the time here in Texas you see the metal barrels painted red, white or blue. You know cowgirls like to barrel race.

These are at the nursery but most of the time I see the barrels already sawed in half.

  • Pottery Pumpkins

I guess you call these jack-o-lanterns, They are at the nursery next to the Dairy Queen and cost $39.

She gave me a discount. My hubby said, "that is a lot of money and it's just going to rot.

    IMG_0379IMG_0381

Here in the country the closest Ikea store is an hour and half away in Frisco,Texas  so if I find anything  "Ikea"  I'm excited.

I got this napkin holder at a thrift store; kitchen tins, coffee cups and wall art at garage sales in town.

I even have small lamp in my bathroom that I got at the antique mall by trading with another dealer.

  • Other Nana in the hospital

    IMG_0426 IMG_0427IMG_0428 IMG_0422

Reece's other Nana was in the hospital and I told my son that I would help with the kids if they got restless.

When they swing on the curtains it's time to go to the waiting room.
