  • Three Generations

    003 (2)

We really had four generations but Reece won't get in the photo.

My son Phillip and my mother at the nursing home.

I forgot to take her napkin off but it takes a long time for her to eat. She likes ice cream the best.

  • We have 4 too, my niece was the first to make it 4 with her son. Per the other thread, I thought your bro was #5 like me? Or is it sister VO 5?

    • my brother Brooks is number 6 and my sister VO 5 we used to call Brooks Hammerhead for a nickname cause they had 10 kids and we had 8 kids but the Hammerjolds all were white toe heads like him.
So he really thought he was one of them. LOL

  • I love all the smiles! Your mom looks very happy!

    • yes, but like our little two year old niece she smiles for the camera but mentally she doesn't know where she is. I keep telling the kids who live in Ca. but they continue to call her in her room at the nursing home and I tell them she doesn't know what a telephone is.
I'm trying to prepare them since they haven't been here for about 2 yrs. Her dementia has gotten worse.

  • special photo ~

    • it would have been better with the little boy but since he's 4 yrs old we've never told him that he has to kiss old granny but he doesn't even want to get close to her. I have to grab him myself to get a kiss.

  • Great photo. My mom likes ice cream too. Her favorite is caramel caribou. She keeps it in the mini freezer in her room and eats it from the carton.

    • I remember working at the A and W rootbeer stand and I would get a kick out of all the old people who liked the root beer floats. I was in high school then.

  • You look genuinely happy. That makes your face glow in a most beautiful way. My wife has that same glow. You must be very deeply blessed!

  • You have a lovely family. Your are blessed.

  • It's so vital that we honour our parents, every year they are with us. The photo is a lovely record of three generations!

  • Handsome young man. Has your smile.

  • I love the picture and the smile on your Moms face. She looks content. I miss my Mom-shes been gone 2 years now
