  • Happy Mother's Day

    We are going to see my mother at the nursing home Sunday so photos to follow.

    Mother told me that when she was little she was so happy to pick flowers and ran into give them to her mother.

    My grandma got upset cause the flowers had one inch stems.

  • Reminds me of a story my mom used to tell. My late sister would pull off flower heads and bring them to her.

  • Haha! We did that as kids too. My mom had several bowls (like small round fish bowls) that she would float the flower heads in! they looked every bit as pretty as vase full of flowers!

  • I'll never forget when my little 4 or 5 year old son came in with an armload of blooms he had picked off the azalea bushes for me... I was thrilled and filled with love. :-D

  • I placed all those blooms in a basket in the center of the kitchen table. :-)

  • Sometimes as Moms we don't realize the effect our words have on little ones, and what they will remember even after they're all grown up.

  • Kids do it from the heart and that means a lot to moms.
