  • Easter Bunny came

    045 (2)

Easter Bunny came to the nursing home after we all went to chapel.

There is a story in our family about how the Easter Bunny over slept and you know; he always comes while you’re at church.

  • My sister’s photo of Ireland

My sister went to Ireland to visit our roots in Shannon.

My mom said in Poland  they took what they would cook on Easter Sunday in a basket to have the priest bless it.

Maybe that is where the basket came into the story.

We believe in the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Old writing or penmanship

I like to look at old photos and the handwriting on the back at the beautiful penmanship.

Sometimes people even sell old stacks of letters held together with colored ribbon.

I had to use refillable pens in school back in the 50′s and didn’t care for them.  I pressed too hard and bent the tip of the pen.

  • Good Friday and ghost

My dad always got Good Friday off from work by his employer. I think it was still a special day back then.

In our family we expected to see ghost.  I guess to some people that sounds weird but it’s comforting to me.

  • Steeple and Youth

One of the first things you teach a kid is how you make the steeple of a church and how all the people are inside.

My favorite quote is, “youth is wasted on the young.”

  • Cabin Fever and Chimes

This cabin is a few miles away on the other side of the lake in town.

Cabin fever is having foot surgery on your right foot and you can’t drive!

If I had a cabin I would put up chimes cause the neighbors would be far away.

  • Hi-jinks

Halloweeen is a long ways away but it’s a good time for hi-jinks.

  • Meatloaf is all I got

Meatloaf just played in Las Vegas. I like a lot of his old songs.

I remember when he was on the Tom Snyder talk show 36yrs ago and Tom called him Meathead the whole interview.

He was such a gentleman that he never corrected Tom.

  • Lisa’s birthday is the 20th

    032 (2)006

Lisa’s birthday is soon and mine is in May. On my knee scooter with little basket x 4 weeks now.

I found something that Lisa wanted for her birthday so I got it for her and it was too big to wrap.

Richard and Claire  make the welcome signs and sell them for $25 but I talked them down to $20.

  • Encouragement

I get encouragement from ya’all to post more of what I see at the antique mall.

I don’t really go anywhere lately with my foot having to be up all the time.
