  • I drove in my boot

    001018004020

It’s six weeks now and Dr. Adams said that I can drive but not to tail end anyone.

My sister and I at the mall on Tuesday. Mo worked for me and I helped her.

What are you going to do now that we have no words to write about? Not that I ever wrote a poem but it got me talking.

  • Patience is our last word

    066

We had buddy cards in a paper sack. It’s what you need to work on this year.

We can’t read them or get another but the card picks us.

I got HALT that stands for ,”don’t get too hungry ,angry, lonely, or tired.”

Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro, Texas on Lake Texoma is where we stayed.

  • Diva or conceit?

    091

Being a Diva is about having a high self-esteem.

I walked into my friend’s hotel room with my coffee cup and said, “good morning, ladies.”

One of the gal’s,  said, “Jill, you know the coffee maker in your hotel room works like ours.”

There was a pause in the conversation and with all eyes on me; I said,

“me, make my own coffee? Dave brings me my coffee in the morning or at least the last five weeks.”

They all laughed and I did, too.

  • Dog Hair and growth

Just got back from my girl’s weekend road trip to Lake Texoma.

I had to brush off the dog hairs from my navy overnight bag before I packed.

Emotional growth comes from laughing and crying with old friends and new.

  • Oil Changes

In the fall I won a free oil change at the library when they had a raffle for a bunch of door prizes at the book sale and chili dinner to raise money for our local library.

  • Wool is scratchy

    IMG_2402

Here are some wool socks I had in my booth at Christmas time.

Growing up we kids had dad’s green wool army blankets and they scratchy and itchy.

  • Kibble

    029

We don’t give our dogs Kibbles but we give them Pedigree.

My hubby gets their food or I would get them something different once in a while.

    They like any kind.

  • Easter Sunday

    049

Here is mother at the nursing home and my sister who doesn’t like to be on the internet who I share the antique booth with and my little brother Brooks.

  • I just wanted to be a contender

    101_9090101_9324

A couple years ago I won the prize for the best photo taken of our downtown area at Christmas.

The prize was a pie from the bakery.

My photo was the only entry so I was the winner. I called to ask who won but I already knew.

  • Deviled eggs and tomatoes

    042

I have nothing on tomatoes but I like to eat them from a garden.

Here is my little grandson Reid hunting eggs at the nursing home.  The four year old brother Reece is already on the other side.

Reece ate about four deviled eggs before I moved them to the other table.
