On of the girls at work had one when she had surgery on her toe. She was able to do everything except push the big racks around... She put the plastic streamers in her hand grips - like she had on her bike as a kid. She even pit a thumb bell on it so we could hear her coming around the corners.
Catching up around here, Jill, and so glad to hear your surgery went well. I've never heard of a knee scooter ... my husband broke his foot about 4 years ago and had to wear the 'black boot'. He might have enjoyed getting around on one of these scooters, though. He mostly used crutches to get around on, and I'm sure one of these would have been a lot easier on his arm pits! Anyway, I do hope you hear good news from your doctor on Wednesday!
what a handy little contraption!
Yay for you! I saw one of those once.
What happened?
I've been breaking the bones in my foot and then they mend and they break again cause those bones aren't suppose to support my 150 lb. weight.
So the dr. said that I need a bunionectomy in the next year and it's the kind that he has to take out bone and reconstruct the foot and put in the screw and some pins? I will see the dr. on wed but right now I can't put any wt. on my right foot.
He told me that I had stress fractures in my foot and my bone density said my bones are fine but it's just too much on my foot
You are very resourceful. Hoping this goes well and recovery is fast.

I haven't seen one of those before, Jill. Hope Wed. appt. goes well.
I wrote back to you on my site, but am copying what I said here, too: It is good to have a good mate to help with caring for the details.
Hope you are taking care of yourself, and will not keep overdoing it.
Quite often the pain gets worse before it gets better.
