RYC- Yes, if you have a good doctor when you need him it's a blessing. I have some friends who are doctors that I would ask a few questions if I was faced with something serious. I trust them to tell me the truth or pull the wool over my eyes so the placebo effect would kick in.
I so seldom need a doctor but I think I have a good one. In the end I trust God too. Hope your surgery goes well!
