Sister went to a baby shower over the weekend for her husband's niece.

The theme was a little cowboy and his name will be Catcher.

My hubby said that these young people want something different but the poor kid has to live with the name.

  • I agree with your husband... anymore it is all about coming up with a very unusual name that is unique to your child.
Each of the names of our grandkids was new to me ... at least for the sex of each child. But I have grown to love each of the names, and now the names seem to "go with" each of them.
Hopefully it will work out that way for "Catcher," as well.

  • My oldest grandson's middle name is Hunter.

  • Maybe they are big JD Salinger fans...

  • Our newest great grand baby, cue in July, will be named Stella-Fae Koa West-Lin. I have no idea why Koa. West-Lin is a combination of her last name and his. The daddy is Margaret's youngest son. We don't know yet if they will get married or not.

  • When I saw the title of your post, I was trying to pronounce the word ~ I thought they even had a different spelling for it! ;) Actually, the name is rather "catchy" :D

  • Yes, that is different! Good thing there are nicknames, I guess.

Cigar smoking for medicinal purposes. Interesting. I guess they use that reason for marijuana today.

  • I have a great grand daughter they call Izzy. I feel sorry for her. The kids in school will not be nice.

  • That is going to give that kid a lot of grief when they go to school. you have tp wonder what parents are thinking.

  • A lot better than some of the names nowadays.
