It does not looks like a poetry house and as you I wonder what it is ( with nothing on the tables ).

well, they say they have snacks and drinks and singing and guitars at night.
i thought they went out of busness.
I guess they are back. Head shops and out and now they are called Smoke Shops.
Smoke shops? Where you go to sit and smoke?
I forgot that you live in Ca. and smoking is out. LOL
Hehe! Yep does look rather retro but where are the hookahs?
this is Texas
hookahs as in middle eastern?
I imagine a friendly exchange of some cubans or other fine cigars. They are becoming very popular. Cigar shops complete with stuffed chair and fans to blow the smoke out the roof are in nearly every neighborhood. We also have a Hookah bars and lounges.
they are just coming here and it is different.
RYC: Ha! IT's kind of ironic that my duster turned out to look like a dust ball! It still works, though.
There is a Vap (or is it vape? You know, those electronic cigarettes) shop here in town. Now, I've seen everything. Fake cigarettes.
yes, those are neat. I have seen people at different places smoking them and it's nice for us non smokers
I'm glad I never smoked. 3 of my 4 girls smoked. The oldest one finally quit when she had her hip replacement surgery. I'm still waiting, and praying for the other 2 to quit. My boys never smoked.
the sister that I started smoking with when I was a teen; up and quit smoking so I did, too. That was while I was still in my 30's so don't give up hope. I quit when the kids were little for 5 years, too.
You can't be that old.
No, but I had two old sisters and my brother is the oldest. They couldn't sneak me into the coffee houses since there was alcohol there.
Indoor smoking ban was passed by voters in November 2006, making Ohio the first Midwestern state and the first tobacco-growing state to enact such a ban.
Having said that, Under certain conditions, private residences; family-owned businesses without non-family employees; certain areas of nursing homes; outdoor patios; and some retail tobacco stores are exempt.
As someone who never has smoked, and one who is very allergic to being around it, I am blessed to live in Ohio.
yes, I don't smoke either but I'm curious about what goes on in those shops.
