It is so much fun – and often exhausting – to take care of grandchildren.
I love them but I am glad I had mine when I was young.
Sounds like you had fun!
yes, lots of fun!
This job is nots for the faint of heart.
you are so right Frank, they are so cute. Little Reece asked Dave, what day comes after Friday? Dave said,”Saturday.” he asked,”what day is today.” Dave told him Saturday. Reece said,”I can only use the IPad two days:friday and Saturday.
LOL
It is a lot of fun to be with little kids, but so good to give them back to their parents and head home. I think that’s why grand-parenting is so much more fun than just parenting.
my older sister Judy always told me that since she has a grand in college now. I know she is so right. Give them back to the parents when you get tired.LOL
RYC: Thank you for your comment on my blog Jill. I responded to you there.
It does take a lot of energy.
my arm was really hurting the day after and I didn’t even pick up the baby that much but just playing with them; guess I was more active then at home.
I’m so glad to see pictures of your grandsons! They are so cute, and at a fun age to play with them. And yes … they do use up the energy (theirs and ours)!
the older one is a moving target, he always is doing stuff. He might be ADHD but my dil doesn’t want to hear about it.
I was the same way with my older son because he is so smart that I couldn’t believe he was plus I was glad I had my active one first because by then I deserved the normal child; this one’s dad.
Yes, it is exhausting. It’s nice that we can nap after they leave.
that night we didn’t get home till almost midnight. We are used to being ready for bed and getting in it at 10:30 after the news. My right arm was hurting yesterday and I said,”oh, that’s right, I would pick up Reid and put him down.”
They know how keep you busy!!!
yes, they know how to keep me and hubby both busy.
Full of energy, they demand everything from us, especially attention.
I really enjoy the grandkids but that 4yrs old is very active. I don’t remember how I survived my boys except I was young when I had them. LOL
