  • Turkey dinner

    Here is a blow up turkey a few blocks over. I bet my hubby could carve this bad boy.

    What are ya'all doing Thursday?

    We are going to see the grandsons just an hour away.

  • I am going to my mother's house. She is cooking the dinner and I am bringing the wine. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Going to my daughter and son-in-laws, for a few days. Daughter has to work... animals must be fed even on human holidays. Will be spending time with son-in-laws parents and brother. They will do the black Friday crowd thrashing thing... I will stay in bed. hehe

  • I will be with my son, in San Diego, on Thursday and Friday- then see old Xanga friends in Orange County and LA on Saturday and early Sunday.

    • My best friend's family is in San Diego but she died in 2006. She lived in Jamul 35miles east of the city.
      I have family in O.C. and L.A.,too.They will all be in Prescott for thanksgiving. LOL

  • I'll be in Santa Barbara visiting friends and family.

  • Hi Jill! I'll be "slaving away" in the kitchen, and hopefully enjoying every minute. There will be 8 children under age 8, and 12 adults. I know it'll be noisy and we may end up with icky sticky messes here and there, but I'll have my sisters helping and I'll assign one with the task of watching the 2 year old. ( 8 I hope to crash the next day.

  • We'll have most of the family over here. We're cooking the turkey, stuffing, and gravy. They'll bring the rest. Nancy's having a rough time. Last night her fever spiked and leg turned red, so they took her to E.R. where they pumped her full of anit-biotics. Today she's back at rehab at the nursing home, but pretty wiped out. She hopes to come here for Thanksgiving. We're hoping she can too.

    • I'm glad you don't have to make much. I'm getting too old and I'm glad the dil Jenny has taken over the holidays.
      I'm sorry for Nancy and my hubby did something like that once-his knee got large and red and he complained of a headache. We had to go to the hospital and the orthopedic dr. did surgery to open it up and wash it out with antibiotics.
      Maybe she can leave can come Thursday for 2 hours and then go back and nap. I know she might not want to leave after she gets there.

  • Black Friday? I will stay away from the malls, LOL I might be asked to babysit if the kids want to go shopping.

  • Our single daughter will visit us on Thanksgiving. I will see if Starbucks is open.

  • I'll be visiting my mother and doing cooking duty... She is making the turkey and I'm making the sides... and pie.

  • Hubby and I will be alone, so we will probably eat something not too spectacular and rent a movie or watch a football game. It will be relaxing.

    • that is what we were going to do because I told my son and dil that we didn't want them to feel like they need to include us in all their holidays but I think they were upset and I explained and they said,"well, you are our family." So we will go to their house with her family over there. My hubby and I would just relax otherwise at home.

    • did you fill in the line with your user name-mine is texxasjillcarmel.xanga.com see how everyone else has their user name and the next line is their xanga.com address and then their email address.
      you don't have your user name with the . after it then the xanga.com after that. You just fill it in on the profile line

  • I tried changing the user name but it will not let me change it.
