  • Our town in Texas

    IMG_1135

The courthouse is the tall tower of course and the red building on the left is our newspaper "the Times-Review" and the light colored brick is an old dr. office from when I was a kid. It is now the Salvation Army center.

Yes, we got rain after this snap shot was taken.

  • I think Texas has the best town squares of all the states...too bad people don't get off the interstates more often!

  • A little bit of history! I've noticed that the mindset used to be to build so it would last forever. The building would be re-incarnated time and time again. Now the thought is build it and if we leave the next business can just tear it down and build again.

  • Our defense attorneys loved to try cases in old court houses in small towns.

  • beautiful buildings in which is located the justice, the help toothers and also the information.

  • I was reading Dan Owens Facebook page last night... about how Texas could become its own country should it so choose. I better move to Texas now while I still can, huh?

  • When you click on the bold color user name nothing happens. I have the same bold color on my user name and I would like to change it so people can click on it and follow me. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

  • I get the feeling that you live in a lovely little town

    • it has spoiled me for the last 45yrs -I went from growing up near LAX in southern Ca. to here in 1968 and I am used to the small pace world now. Burleson is where my shop is and it's part of Johnson County and when I leave over the county line-wow! buildings, lights, city!

  • That red building is cute. :)

    • it's even cuter in person -you can't see the doors and shutters -I call the newspaper my little Peyton Place. The town has gotten to where I don't know everyone anymore.

  • You asked on my site if something cost $ ~ does WHAT cost $?? :)
