  • Pop up kitty

    IMG_1067IMG_1068

We took the dog for a walk and saw the lights.

I tell my hubby not to put the dog on the 15foot leash.

The sky was pretty but I'm afraid to walk far so I turned back.

  • Your dog would be your defender !!!! hmm!

    • she is my defender and hubby too but remember I just broke two bones in my lower arm a few weeks ago and had surgery.
Since it happened in my driveway I'm just afraid to go far at all even with a walking stick that a neighbor man whittled for me that I cherish.

  • Wwo, that's a huge Halloween yard decor! It's funny that your hubby allows so much leash length, but maybe the dog likes that much "freedom". We quit walking our dog in our neighborhood a loooong time ago; too many neighborhood dogs around to get him all riled up. So now, we only do the nearly vacant trail around the lake. Much safer and much more relaxing.

    • he's hard headed. I take the dog to fields and let her off the leash in the country where the city cuts the weeds and owns and she runs and runs but not in town.

I'm always afraid she'll get run over or bit another dog but he thinks he can control her.

Once he came home all huffing and puffing and sweaty and said,"that dog got hit." that dog got hit." I said,"what dog?" tell me" well, finally he said a little dog got hit in front of him.It was a Beagle. We I said,"so it wasn't Maggie? I said what happened to the little dog? and he said,"she's in our laundry room. I thought you could look him over." Well, thank God Sparticus was fine and just was shivering and scared." We called the family and they came and got him.

  • My dog is on a short leash when I walk him and my wife has me on a short leash, so I know how he feels.

  • With all the wide open spaces I'm sure he enjoys the freedom (both the dog and your husband)! Halloween decorations around here are ridiculous - rivals the Christmas decorating.

    • yes, sometimes they get rather wild here in Texas, too.
I tell my hubby that it's not good to use that long leash but he swears that she runs and gets behind him if she sees another dog or a person.
Once he got all tangled up in the leash and my dog came home without him and she parked at the door for me. I said,"where is your collar and where is you daddy?" When he got home several blocks later he told me that a fellow let his boxer our and he told the fellow that our dog might attack his dog but instead our dog twisted loose and ran all the way home. I said,"see better to use the short leash."

  • I have a pop up kitty like that on my Farmville Farm. It is all decorated for Fall. I sometimes forget when I am walking someplace that I also have to walk BACK! Glad you think ahead! :-)

    • since I broke two bones in my lower arm I'm afraid to walk and trip on something even with my walking stick.

Farmville -isn't that the game? on facebook? LOL
